The first day of our school trip

17 März, 2025

In the second week of my stay in Spain, we had the opportunity to take part in a week-long trip to Andalusia. We spent our first day in Granada, a very popular and beautiful city in the south of Spain.

After waking up and having breakfast, we made our way to the outskirts of the city to visit a high ropes course. It was located on a hill in a small forest, surrounded by grassland with small flowers, and gave us a stunning view over the city. The weather was cold and rainy at first, but after a short introduction by one of the staff, the sun came out and made the experience much more enjoyable. As well as climbing, there were several zip lines, which were incredibly fun.

We then returned to the hotel for lunch. At around four o’clock we went into the city centre where we met a guide who showed us around Granada. We learned about some important buildings and streets, walked through charming neighbourhoods and strolled along a small river next to the Paseo de los Tristes. We also got to see the famous Alhambra from a breathtaking viewpoint. The tour ended with a visit to the stunning cathedral of Granada.

After the tour we had some free time to buy souvenirs or explore the city on our own. A friend and I visited some small shops and then sat down in a cosy little café tucked away in a narrow alley. We enjoyed a coffee and a delicious croissant before meeting the rest of the class in a beautiful square. From there we walked back to our hotel.

After dinner, we finished the day by watching a film in our room. It was an amazing day full of adventure, beautiful sights and great memories that I will never forget.
