Tapas en Logroño

18 März, 2026

Last Thursday evening all of the one-month excange students visited the city Logroño together. We went out for tapas, and the ambience was quite nice. There’s a huge difference between Germany and Spain because even though it was late at night, for us Germans there were a lot of people on the street and at the bars. At 6 o’clock we started a little tour through the city and our exchange students showed us some interesting buildings like the church of Santa Maria de la Redonda:

After that we continued our walk through the city and wachted the beautiful sunset. A few minutes later we arrived at the first tapas bar and tried „champis” for the first time. It’s a famous dish in Spain made out of bred, mushrooms and shrimp. In the second bar, just around the corner, we ate Patatas bravas which is like potatos with a special sauce. In the third and last bar we ordered croquetas con jamón.For desert we went to a famous frozen yogurt shop. All the dishes were very delicious.

Later in the evening we accompanied one of the Spanisch students to his basketball training but unfortunately we weren’t allowed to watch the training so we decided to go to an important bridge. On our way home we saw some  kids playing football and hanging out on the street, which surprised us a lot because in Germany people at this age aren’t supposed to be outside this late. We arrived very tired in our homes at 11 p.m.
