Skiing in the Pyrenees

My second weekend in Logroño comes to an end and here is a small recap:

On Thursday we drove to Pamplona, the capital of Navarra. The city is in the north of Spain and from Logroño it took us about an hour to get there. We visited the bullring of Pamplona, its a very famous and big arena where the bullfights take place. My host family and I made an interesting tour with audio guides trough the whole arena.

After that we walked trough the city, drank a coffee and had lunch in a nice restaurant. But now the weekend trip had just started because we were on our way to our hotel at the ski resort Formigal in the Pyrenees.

On Friday and Saturday my host family, their friends and I went skiing from 10 in the morning til 4 in the afternoon and it was awesome. The only problem was the weather because it was quite rainy and too warm so the snow wasn’t too good.

In the evening we always went to a restaurant where we met more friends of my host family and the food was great on each evening.

On Sunday we drove to a river in the mountains where we went for a walk because the sun was shining and it was very warm so we could enjoy the day. After that we went home which took us 3h and as soon as we were back in Logroño we had lunch.

It was an amazing weekend and I would definitely recommend skiing in the Pyrenees, I only hope that you’ll have better weather than we’ve had.
