Madrid: Take 3

5 Apr, 2023

Wednesday, 5th April:

Finally I also went to Madrid! Together with my host-aunt I was spending the last four days in Madrid where we lived in the house of some friends. Everyday from the morning until the evening we made excursions to famous sights in Madrid, like for example the „Plaza Mayor“ or the „Estadio Santiago Bernabéu“ but also to some secret places that doesn’t know everyone, for example the monastery in San Lorenzo de El Escorial. But since I am a huge football fan the highlight for me was a football match we visited. We went to Atlético de Madrid versus Real Betis Sevilla in the „Civitas Metropolitano“, the home ground of Atlético. It was an interesting match with many famous players even if there was only one goal, Atlético won 1-0, but it was an incredible experience to be in a stadium in another country and I think it wasn’t the last match I will have visited in Spain.

Back in Logroño I can say that I enjoyed these days very much and now I have just three more days left until I return to Germany again. So this is my last blog entry and I hope you have enjoyed reading our blog about what we five German students experienced abroad. I can say that I am very grateful to have had this unique opportunity to spend three months in Spain with an Erasmus+ scholarship and I would love to come back in the future to see my host-family and Spanish friends again.
