Las escuelas
The schools are so different. First to mention is the fact that our school in Germany (CPG) is not so old, which you can definitely see. Apart from their “age”, there are quite a few other differences. For example in Spain you sit alone and in Germany you normally sit in pairs. Also the way of teaching is very different: here in Spain the teachers usually explain the topic and – what I noticed – then some of them ask questions about the topic, but don’t even give the students the chance to answer. On contrary, in Germany you often work on the material on your own or with a group and in the end the class will discuss their results with the teacher or other students. The digitalization process is also very different: in Spain the students are not allowed to use a tablet, in Germany you’re allowed to use it, as soon as you’re in the 8th grade or older. I personally prefer the CPG, because it’s more modern, but maybe I will change my mind in the next few weeks here in Spain.
