Last Saturday we were in Paris. We didn’t leave home until the afternoon, but we stayed out late at night. First we went to Montmartre. We walked up to the top instead of taking the elevator. The view from the top was amazing. We also went inside the basilica and had a look around.

From there, we continued by foot to the Arc de Triomphe de l’Étoile. Then we walked along the Champs Élysées to the Eiffel Tower. As it was already dark, it was even more beautiful to see Paris and its sights at night. We took a short break to eat something. The break did me a lot of good, as we had already walked a lot by that point.

Since we had arrived at the Eiffel Tower shortly before 9 p.m., we waited a moment for the Eiffel Tower to light up. Once again, my exchange partner and I decided to take the stairs instead of the elevator. It was a bit exhausting, but it could have been worse. Once at the top, we met up with my host parents again. Before going down again, we were enjoying the view for a while.

We arrived back home shortly after midnight. Surprisingly, I felt great on Sunday and didn’t have any sore muscles. It was a very nice but also exhausting day for me!
